The Three Apple Watch Apps I Really Want

The Apple Watch launch day is getting closer and I am ready to place my pre-order for a Sport model on the 10th. And this are the apps I want the most on my Watch.

Activity (pre-installed)

The main use I had plan for my Apple Watch is to track my activity and fitness and the pre-installed Activity app looks like it will be great for my use. Apple

Omnifocus is one of my top apps I use it a lot on Mac, iPhone and iPad and having my next to To-Do on my wrist will hopefully make me more productive. I am glad The Omnigroup plans to have an app ready by launch day. Appadvice

Why I Decided To Go With The Apple Watch Sport?

Long before the official Apple Watch announcement from Apple I knew I wanted one.

I had even put off getting a Garmin Forerunner and Fitbit as I really wanted something from Apple. I knew it will be something so much better and elegant.

When the official announcement was mad I immediately knew witch one I was going to buy as soon as they were available.

I decided I was going to get the Apple Watch Sport edition in Space Grey and in the 42mm size.

Why?

This are the five reason I decided to go with the Sport:

First Generation:

This been the first generation I know for sure I will upgrade immediately to the second generation as soon as it comes out. That second generation I may keep for a longer time. This is based on my first generation purchase of the MacBook Air and iPad.

Price:

Since I already mention that I will only keep this version until the second gen comes out it just make sense to go with the lowest priced one at just $399.

Main usage:

One and probably the main uses I have for the Apple Watch it's as a fitness and health companion and since the Sport is the least heavy of the 3 versions it will be perfect for my runs.

Apple Watch Sport 42mm & 38mm

42mm Size:

I decided to go with the 42mm for two reasons. One the battery its a bit better on the 42mm than on the 38mm and because I fear the 38mm will be just two small for me.

Space Gray Finish:

This one was a bit tougher as both finish look amazing but at the end I just liked the Space Gray a bit more and I did not liked any of the colored Sport bands.

Next Best Choice

My other choice was the Black Steel version since I do not like the shiny finish on the regular Steel. But the Black version only comes with the Steel bracelet and at over $1000 it was super easy to go with the Sport. Maybe by gen 2 I will go with a Steel version.
